“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” ―
Hello beautiful souls,
Today’s quote of the day is by William Shakespeare who was a playwright and is known as the poet of all times. He is also known as the national poet of England and Bard of Avon. I had his famous play- Macbeth as a part of my Intermediate’s English Literature syllabus and the play Julius Caesar in high school. He is famous for his iconic plays like- Macbeth, Julius Caesar, The tragedy of Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, The tragedy of Othello, and many more.
This quote: “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” speaks volumes.
This quote has been taken from the famous play of Shakespeare ‘Julius Caesar’ though not in the exact arrangement of words by slightly different. In the play, Cassius said to Brutus- “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.”
Though the literal meaning might vary from what we are deriving here what we have derived from it is MOTIVATION.
We are mostly blaming it all on destiny if things are not happening our way. When in doubt, blame it on destiny. Is that right? We are the designers of our destiny. We are allowing ourselves to become the slaves of our destiny. Just think about it, Our fate is not in our destiny’s hands. Whatever we are sowing today, we have to reap tomorrow. The blame game can wait. Do not make it a habit to cry over the spilled milk. How our life turns out to be is completely in our hands.
I am leaving you here with these great lines to ponder upon.
