Books are the institution in their own. Pick up any random book and not even a single one would disappoint you. My love for books has grown in the past few years. Now I have almost become a bookworm and I love spending time with my books. I have made it a habit to complete at least one book in a week, a choice which I will never regret.

Whatever little I can write today is because of my love for books. I am undeniably attracted towards them and I feel proud to say that they love me too as they have started explaining themselves to me even before I find answers to their questions.
The more you read, the more you know; the more you know, the more conscious you become; the more conscious you become, the more knowledge you will spread. Books will never fail to illuminate your mind with something or the else every day, to an extent that you can become a reservoir of knowledge.
Don’t you think that there are loads of books in this world to read. Even a lifetime is short to read them all; so the best time to step into the world of books is today. Read, understand and spread awareness.
With books, I mean ‘good’ and ‘virtuous’ books; books which imbibe in you a sense of goodness, a sense of realization. The kind you read, the way your thoughts will be directed. It is essential to understand what you want to feed your soul with.
Try reading a book for a day or two and then over a week, I bet you will start feeling attracted to reading. Your love for the books will then become unstoppable, undetachable. You will no longer feel lonely in life again. Many of us are so lonely that we are finding for us companions, someone to spend time with. Reading erases those feelings of loneliness and give you a sense of companionship.
Read something different today to become distinct from the rest of the crowd. Simple books are read just for entertainment and can be read by anyone out there. Their only purpose is to get entertained for the time being and learn nothing productive. Are they actually gaining anything? No. Are they becoming better than what they were before they touched upon that book? No.
Everything that you invest your time into should yield you something. We all are working towards towards a common goal : becoming a better version of ourselves, and books will our best guide in this journey.
Books take you to places you have never been to before. New experiences, new people. Every new character will make a place in your heart in someway or the other. Different characters, different view points and you try to know them all. In this journey of knowing their journeys you get connected to many even without physically meeting each other.
Instead of squandering your precious time in something which is not yielding, invest it in reading a good book or at least listening to a healthy book. Once you develop the habit of reading, you will not be entertained by any other amusement around because words have so much power to change your thoughts. The more you read the more powerful your thoughts will become. Books may be destroyed but their words can never be.
Reading changes you as a person. It elevates your mood, boosts your energy level, removes negative energy and helps you focus.

You have to design your own thoughts in a way to purify your soul. You have to direct your thoughts towards doing something fertile rather than futile. Every home should have a little corner for books (they don’t need much space) because those are the keys to unlock your mind. When you read, contemplate alongside. That is something which is needed. Have you ever felt that after reading a book you yourself feel like writing? At least for a day or two that effect remains when you actually feel the book.
So start practicing today. I bet you all will discover that passive writer hidden inside you. Get hooked to your books and you will never need a better companion ever after.
